Evergreen expects release of Ever Given to take time

Although an agreement has been reached between the Suez Canal Authority and one of the insurers of container ship Ever Given, it will take time before the ship is released, estimates the ship's operator Evergreen.

It will take some time before megaship Ever Given, which blocked the Suez Canal in March and has since been detained in the area, will be released.

Although one of the ship's insurers as well as the authorities in the area, SCA, recently agreed on a compensation agreement, some formalities have yet to fall into place, informs the ship's operator Evergreen in an announcement.
