Danaos sees red-hot container market continue unabated

Greek shipowner Danaos progresses in the third quarter, and the CEO sees no signs that conditions are improving in the overheated container market.

Greek Danaos, owner and leaser of container vessels to major liners, books growth across the board in the third quarter.

The shipowner's revenue grew from USD 118.9 million in the third quarter of 2020 to USD 195.9 million this year, while the net result multiplied to USD 217.2 million against USD 42.7 million in the third quarter of 2020, reads the quarterly report.
