Zim raises guidance for 2022 after strong Q1

Markedly higher rates on long contracts compared to last year have container line Zim upgrading its guidance for the full year 2022, now expecting EBIT at USD 7.8-8.2bn.

Israeli container line Zim raises its guidance for 2022 after the carrier bagged adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortizations (EBITDA) in the first quarter that were 209% better compared to the same period last year.

According to a financial statement, Zim’s Q1 EBITDA came to USD 2.5bn, which now has the carrier raising its full-year guidance to the interval USD 7.8-8.2bn.
