Container rates from China to Los Angeles continue down

It is still getting cheaper to ship container cargo from China to the US west coast, according to Drewry.

The price on having a container moved from China to Los Angeles on the busy US west coast continues to decline.

For the last week, the price has dived by 1.1% to USD 7,480 for one of the much used 40-foot containers from Shanghai to Los Angeles, according to data from the World Container Index (WCI) sorted by maritime and supply chain consultancy firm Drewry.
