Fired chief engineer sues Maersk in Hope Hicks-case

A chief engineer, who was fired alongside four other crew members after the investigation of Hope Hicks claims of rape aboard the Alliance Fairfax, now sues Maersk and trade union for unlawful firing.

Former chief engineer Foilomeno Gaylan, who was fired from Maersk in February 2022 after an investigation of an alleged rape of naval cadet Hope Hicks aboard a Maersk ship, has commenced a counteroffensive in the legal system.
