Non-operating owners see their combined fleet shrink further

An increasing number of smaller and mid-sized container vessels is owned directly by carriers, and especially two major players have dug deep into the segment.

Since November last year, non-operating owners have seen no less than 71 smaller or mid-sized vessels transfer into the hands of carriers, writes Alphaliner in an ownership analysis of ships within the segment of 700-9,000 teu.
