Cosco presents bleak view of the future of shipping

Cosco, whose container carrier recently entered a major collaboration with fellow Chinese company CSCL, and which could be about to join the CKYHE alliance, is anything but optimistic about the future of the shipping industry.

The global shipping industry can look forward to yet another troublesome year, as overcapacity in the market will put pressure on carriers' finances, says Ma Zehua, Chairman of China's biggest shipping group, China Ocean Shipping Group Co. (COSCO) in an interview with Reuters.
