Hapag-Lloyd has doubled its debt in five years

Major German carrier Hapag-Lloyd has doubled its debt in five years, from 2009 to now, according to a review of the carrier's annual report, performed by Alphaliner.

Hapag-Lloyd published its annual report 2013 last week, and the result was described as less than satisfying by the carrier's Chairman Michael Behrendt. And the debt accrued by the company does not seem satisfactory at all in terms of the carrier's finances, says Alphaliner in its weekly newsletter.
