Clarksons: Third straight year with container growth

2015 will be the third consecutive year with growth in the global container traffic, says British Clarksons, upgrading its already positive expectations for the industry next year. "Strong trade growth lifts expectations for 2014 and 2015."

In its newest monthly analysis of the container market, Clarksons maintains its strong growth forecast for 2014 and 2015. General economic developments seem to strengthen confidence that the container industry will grow by more than six percent this year and next year, says the British broker.

This development thus represents the third consecutive growth year for seaborne container transport following a slow 2012.
