Maersk Line to save 60 percent on fuel by 2020

Maersk Line has reduced the company's fuel consumption by almost 40 percent since 2007. The goal now is to reduce fuel consumption by 60 ahead of 2020.

Maersk Line is now targeting a 60 percent reduction in fuel consumption by 2020.

"We're now setting a new goal because it makes sense for Maersk in every way. We want to reach a 60 percent reduction by 2020. This is very amibtious. I can't say for sure that we will reach it, but we will do our best," says Chief Operating Officer at Maersk Line, Søren Toft, to Danish newspaper Politiken.
