Decline for Rickmers Maritime continues in 2015

The interim report for the first quarter at the Singapore-based container shipowner Rickmers Maritime shows that the decline from 2014 is continuing into 2015 with a drop in charter revenue due to a decline in charter rates.

The decline for Rickmers Maritime, which owns the container segment of German Rickmers Group, continued from 2014 into the first quarter of 2015.

The company achieved a charter revenue in the first quarter of USD 28.6 million, a decline of 16 percent from USD 33.9 million in the same period in 2014. At the same time, net earnings fell to USD 7.0 million, a 29 percent from USD 9.85 million in the same quarter 2014.
