
The Israeli container carrier returned to profitability in the first quarter of the year, where the company delivered a USD 35 million net result, according to the interim report. The carrier suffered a USD four million deficit in the same period 2014.
However, Zim's transported volumes in the period decreased 0.5 percent compared to the previous quarter, to 560,000 teu. This development also represented an eight percent drop from the same period last year.
