
Westbound traffic on the Transatlantic trade between North Europe and North America is growing, according to new numbers from Drewry. In the first quarter of the year, volumes on the trade increased 8.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
This includes growing shipments from North Europe to the US, at 10.3 percent or 466,000 teu, trade to Canada remained flat at 139,000 teu, while imports to Mexico increased 13.1 percent to 83,000 teu.
