Media: Maersk Line and colleagues ponder Brazilian acquisition

Journal of Commerce points to Maersk Line as the most likely buyer of listed Brazilian container carrier Log-In Logistica.

Maersk Line and industry peers MSC and CMA CGM are allegedly pondering a possible acquisition of the last remaining Brazilian-owned container carrier, Log-In Logistica, which is listed in Sao Paulo, reports Journal of Commerce, citing maritime sources in Brazil.

According to the trade journal, the most likely buyer is Maersk Line, which already owns Mercosul Line and which has noted significant growth in cargo volumes in this business in recent years.
