Alphaliner: Eight carriers to form new major alliance
A new alliance among eight container carriers will see the light of day in the near future according to Alphaliner. A German carrier is allegedly in play as a potential ninth member.

A new major alliance consisting of eight carriers in total, including Germany's Hapag-Lloyd as well as several Asian carriers, is expected to be announced later this month, writes analyst firm Alphaliner in its weekly newsletter.
