The Maersk Group will be sliced down the middle and two companies will remain to handle transport and energy respectively, projects Nordea about the strategic review of the conglomerate in a new analysis from the bank, reports Danish media Berlingske on Wednesday.

"A probable outcome of the strategy work is a structure where transport and energy are divided to trigger potential synergies, narrow managerial focus, and help find pockets of growth opportunities," writes Nordea in the report cited by Berlingske.
