HSH Nordbank leases Hanjin vessels to Maersk Line

Germany's HSH Nordbank is in the process of acquiring nine container vessels from South Korean Hanjin Shipping. The ships will subsequently be leased to Maersk Line and MSC, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Shipping bank HSH Nordbank is in the midst of acquiring nine Hanjin vessels, and these will subsequently be leased to Maersk Line and MSC, reports the Wall Street Journal.

According to the newspaper's sources, six of the nine container ships of 13,000 teu each will be leased to Maersk Line while the remaining three will be leased to MSC. Delivery of the vessels will allegedly take place during December.
