Maersk Group's days as a conglomerate covering both transport and energy are numbered, according to statements from the group's CEO Søren Skou at Maersk Capital Markets Day in Copenhagen.

During his presentation to the scores of analysts and investors present at the event, it was finally made clear that Maersk, over the coming years, will become a business consisting only of companies operating in the container industry.
