Hafnia Tankers enters new million dollar sale and leaseback deal

Hafnia Tankers, which recently got BW Group as majority shareholder, has signed another sale and leaseback deal that contributes a double-digit million dollar figure in fresh liquidity.

Denmark's Hafnia Tankers, headed by CEO Mikael Skov, has sold two of its ships to company Skaatholmen Shipping Ltd and will lease them back on seven-year contracts.

Hafnia, which recently got BW Group as new majority shareholder, thus repeats a move that is often used right now by the company itself as well as competition product tanker shipowners, namely converting fleet asset value into cash.
