Ackermann worries about the order book despite record profit

BW LPG will take delivery of new VLGCs ahead of the summer 2021 corresponding to 15 percent of the fleet. However, a "considerable" order book does not make CEO Martin Ackermann doubt that the upswing will continue next year.

After years of downturn, shipowners with large gas vessels can finally profit from a significantly better market, in which the next year also looks promising.

This is the case at companies like BW LPG, which just booked its first quarterly profit to date, USD 117 million, canceling out a deficit from the same period last year.
