Corona diary from Gothenburg: Stena Bulk CEO fears times post-virus

The CEO of the Swedish tanker carrier Stena Bulk, Erik Hånell, is responsible for seven offices and several hundred employees across the globe, all affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Many work from home or in shifts. Hånell worries the most about the times to come after corona.

It is emptier than usual at Stena Bulk's Gothenburg office overlooking the river Göta, where Stena Line's passenger ferries normally call and depart.

However, things are no longer usual for the major Swedish shipping group, where the coronavirus outbreak has already made Stena Line dismiss many employees because the number of passengers has dropped dramatically following border closures in several countries.
