Røkke companies join forces to own tanker ships

Aker and Ocean Yield, both of which have Kjell Inge Røkke as majority owner, join forces in a joint venture to own seven tanker ships. The deal will strengthen the shipowner's balance.

The two Kjell Inge Røkke-owned companies Aker Capital and Ocean Yield join forces to own a total of seven tanker ships.

The two companies form a joint venture to jointly own the ships. Specifically, the deal means that Aker will take over 50 percent of the ownership of the vessels from Ocean Yield. For the shipowner, the agreement is made to strengthen the company's balance, according to an update.
