Analysts disagree on when the tanker market will recover

Over the past month, rates for super tankers have dropped almost 40 percent. Asking analysts, they far from agree about which direction the market is headed, writes Finansavisen.

There is widespread disagreement among analysts about which direction the market for super tankers is headed, reports Norwegian media Finansavisen.

Over the past month, rates have gone done by 37 percent, and as such, a VLCC ship could be chartered for USD 13,600 at the start of this week.
