Trøim-owned tanker and gas company sold in billion dollar transaction

Infrastructure company buys tanker operator Golar LNG Partners and gas company Hygo in billion dollar deal. Sellers include Norwegian investor Tor Olav Trøim.

Tanker operator Golar LNG Partners and gas company Hygo Energy Transition, whose owners include Tor Olav Trøim, has been sold to US-based energy infrastructure compant New Fortress Energy for USD 2.35 billion, says Golar in a press release.

New Fortress Energy pays USD 2.1 billion for Hygo and USD 235 million for Golar LNG. With the two companies come additional debt, pricing the transaction at USD 5 billion.
