
Tanker operator Golar LNG Partners and gas company Hygo Energy Transition, whose owners include Tor Olav Trøim, has been sold to US-based energy infrastructure compant New Fortress Energy for USD 2.35 billion, says Golar in a press release.
New Fortress Energy pays USD 2.1 billion for Hygo and USD 235 million for Golar LNG. With the two companies come additional debt, pricing the transaction at USD 5 billion.
