Nordic American Tankers has divested ships to pay off debt

Nordic American Tankers had a bigger loss in the first quarter compared to the same period last year. From the beginning of the year, the carrier has been busy divesting from its fleet.

Nordic American Tankers saw its deficit increase at the start of the year after the strained oil market of 2021 resulted in a full-year loss of USD 171.3m.

The first-quarter deficit landed at almost USD 27m against a loss of USD 25m in the same period last year, according to the Q1 report.
