Frontline continues buying up shares in Euronav

John Fredriksen is not yet through with buying shares in Belgian Euronav ahead of the merger between Euronav and Fredriksen’s tanker operator Frontline, which recently bought 4% equity in Euronav.

John Fredriksen-owned tanker operator Frontline continues to buy up shares in competitor Euronav ahead of the planned merger of the two companies.

According to a press release, Frontline has carried out private transactions and bought an additional 3.82% of the equity in Euronav from select shareholders in the Belgian tanker company.
