Tanker still a headache for Torben Østergaard – carrier books second consecutive million-dollar loss

USTC-owned Uni-Tankers, which manages more than 40 product and chemical tanker vessels, suffers a new million-dollar loss despite revenue progress.

The tanker market is still a headache to Torben Østergaard-Nielsen and his global shipping group, USTC, which owns Uni-Tankers.

For the fiscal year 2021/2022, the product and chemical tanker carrier booked red bottom-line figures, even though revenue soared with DKK 200m (USD 28.3m) to roughly DKK 1.5bn compared to the year before.
