CEO Steffen Jacobsen's spell at Evergas comes to an end
Steffen Jacobsen’s spell as CEO at tanker carrier Evergas has come to an end.
Industry media Søfart writes that the news of the 62-year-old CEO’s exit is a result of the carrier’s new owner circle.
In late September, Evergas was sold to US shipowner Seapeak, which bought the company off of French player Jaccar in a deal worth upwards of USD 700m.
As a result, Jacobsen concludes his time at the carrier where he has served as chief exec since 2015.
Jacobsen tells Søfart that he will take a short hiatus before diving into consultancy tasks and fulfilling his board member duties. According to the media, no replacement has been appointed yet.
Seapeak was formerly known as Teekay LNG Partners.
