Nova Tankers to cease pool collaboration

The carriers behind Maersk-led Nova Tankers has agreed to cease the VLCC pool collaboration. As partners have seeped out along the way, the collaboration no longer makes sense.

There were great ambitions at play when Maersk Tankers along with several other of the world's largest supertanker carriers established the pool collaboration Nova Tankers around two years ago, based in Copenhagen.

Morten Pilnov was brought in from his position as Head of Gas, Handy Gas and VLGC at Maersk and set to head what was at the time the world's largest collaboration in the major VLCC segment.
