MOL, Ultranav, OSG and Asahi Tanker join forces to establish an new product tanker pool, according to the companies.

A new pool has seen the light of day through a collaboration between carriers Ultranav, Japanese MOL, OSG, and Japanese Asahi Tanker. The four carriers plan to launch a new MR pool under the name "Clean Products Tanker Alliance."
Norwegian Stolt-Nielsen, which has acquired shares in competitor Odfjell, benefitted from higher volumes and spot rates on the chemical tanker market and predicts further improvement on the market. The company is, however, not quite ready for ordering newbuilds.
