LNG boosts Nakilat even further

Qatar-based LNG transporter Nakilat noted growing profits from all of the group's activities in 2014. But LNG rates will be under pressure going forward, according to analysts.

Qatar Gas Transport Co., which goes under the name Nakilat and i currently the world's largest owner of LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) vessels, delivered a net result of USD 245.8 million in 2014 compared to USD 200.5 million the previous year. This is an improvement of 23 percent.

Revenue for the whole year came to USD 988 million, an increase of five percent from USD 933 million in 2013, according to Nakilat's annual report, reports Tradewinds on Friday.
