After a year characterized by deficits, DHT Holdings now looks to have moved on from the disappointing results. In the first quarter 2015, the VLCC-focused carrier delivered a net result of USD 23.2 million, thus continuing the trend from the fourth quarter 2014, which was the first profitable quarter for the carrier in 2014, according to the interim report.
The operating profit came to USD 51.0 million, and the carrier's largest tanker vessels, the VLCCs, especially contributed to profits in the spot market with time charter equivalents (TCE) of USD 60,300 per day in the first three months of the year, reports DHT Holdings.
