
Stolt-Nielsen Limited is now furthering its bet on liquefied natural gas (LNG) through a joint venture with Golar LNG, according to the two companies. Each party will own 50 percent of the new setup, where the opportunities in small-scale LNG production and distribution will be pursued.
Golar LNG is the world's largest owner and operators of LNG vessels and the new collaboration thus fits well with Stolt-Nielsen's strategy to get more involved with the segment. Meanwhile the company has acquired shares in Golar corresponding to a stake of 2.3 percent.
