Weak LPG rates keep Epic Gas down

Epic Gas finished the second quarter of the year with a deficit of USD 2 million. The gas carrier continues to struggle with declining rates in the LPG sector.

Singapore-based gas carrier Epic Gas suffered yet another difficult quarter in an LPG market characterized by weak rates.

The carrier exited the second quarter 2015 with an unaudited net deficit of USD 2 million compared to a deficit of USD 1.4 million in the same period last year, while the company's revenue came to USD 32.9 million in the period, an increase from USD 27.4 million last year, according to the carrier's half-year interim report, published Tuesday.
