McQuilling: Aframax will perform best ahead of 2020

The Aframax segment will outperform the largest tanker vessels ahead of 2020, notes analysts McQuilling, citing the modest growth in newbuildings delivered as a key factor behind the solid prospects.

A modest growth of 3.5 percent in the influx of new tonnage to tanker-class Aframax ahead of the year 2020 will make the segment perform better largest tankers in the crude oil segment, reports analyst firm McQuilling in its 2016-2020 Tanker Market Outlook.

The reasons for this can be traced to developments in some of the key oil markets.
