Almost a year has gone by since the now-former head of tanker at Torm, Tina Revsbech, was recruited as Chief Executive of the Singapore-based carrier BW Pacific. And close to six months have passed since the BW Group's product tanker carrier launched its plans to establish a European HQ in Copenhagen.
In the meantime, the IPO of the BW Pacific's share on the Oslo Stock Exchange was canceled because there simply was not enough interest among investors. And as time passed, the share prices at otherwise solid tanker carriers such as Frontline came under surprising amounts of pressure, forcing some observers to cast doubts on the strong boom which had characterized the market in 2015.
