Nigerian oil production is being disrupted by attacks on the country's pipelines and terminal, carried out by rebel groups in the Niger Delta. This can spell bad news for tanker carriers, says shipbroker.

A number of attacks on oil infrastructure in Nigeria could mean bad news for tanker carriers.

According to Energy and Ship brokerage firm, Poten & Partners, rebel groups have attacked pipes and terminals in the Niger Delta over a long period, which has made the country's export of crude oill drop, reports World Maritime News.
