Aurora pressures BW LPG to raise acquisition offer

After meetings with the board of Aurora, the world's largest owner of gas vessels, BW LPG, has raised its takeover offer for Aurora and has now secured support from shareholders representing more than 52 percent of the share capital.

BW LPG has raised its offer to the shareholders in Aurora LPG after meetings with the carrier's board of directors, informs BW LPG in a corporate statement. Both companies are listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Singapore-based BW LPG made an offer on September 20th for a buyout of Aurora after a long period of speculations about whether or not BW LPG intended to fully take over Aurora.
