Teekay Corporation appoints new Chief Exec

Kenneth Hvid from Denmark, with a professional background at Maersk, will replace Peter Evensen as Chief Executive of listed tanker and offshore group Teekay Corporation.

Kenneth Hvid has been appointed new Chief Executive of Canadian company Teekay Corporation. He will take the over reins from Peter Evensen, who is set to retire on Jan. 31, 2017, informs the New York-listed tanker and offshore group in a press release Friday.

48-year-old Kenneth Hvid has been at Teekay since 2000 and currently serves as CEO of Teekay Offshore as well as being a board member in several of the group's subsidiaries, including as Chairman of Oslo-listed Teekay Investments.
