Aurora LPG Chief Exec steps down after acquisition

Aurora's CEO is leaving his position at the Norwegian gas carrier. The current CFO will now act as provisional Chief Executive until industry peer BW LPG completes its acquisition of the carrier.

Børge Johansen is stepping down as CEO of gas carrier Aurora LPG, which is in the midst of being absorbed by competitor BW LPG.

The company informs in a statement Tuesday that the board of directors and the CEO have agreed to terminate his contract. Instead, he will now become CEO of Atlantic Tankers, which operates the fleet of Aurora's VLGC ships.
