BP expands LNG fleet with six vessels

Oil major BP is noting a surge in demand for liquefied natural gas, LNG, and will in the next two years take delivery of six new LNG vessels in cooperation with, among others, China's ICBC Leasing.

BP will expand its fleet LNG tanker vessels, as demand for the liquefied natural gas, and for low CO2 fuel in general, is growing across the globe.

Six new LNG vessels will be delivered to the carrier's fleet over the next two years. China's ICBC Leasing, among other stakeholders, is working with KMarin to provide financing of the vessels, totaling more than USD 1 billion, informs BP.
