The Maersk family's purchase of Maersk Tankers, announced in September, has been settled, informs the group.

A.P. Moeller-Maersk's sale of Maersk Tankers to the Maersk family's investment unit has now been completed.

The shipping conglomerate is winding down its activities in the oil sector and divesting business units. The sale of Maersk Tankers was announced in mid-September.
