Oldendorff bought far more bunker in 2017

The world's biggest dry bulk fleet is burning a lot of fuel. As such, it is no surprise that Germany's Oldendorff bought a lot of bunker in 2017 – but the number is also significantly higher than the year before and thus marks a new record.

The surging activity at the world's biggest dry bulk carrier, Germany's Oldendorff Carriers, continued to grow big-time in 2017, at least when judging by the carrier's bunker procurement.

According to the carrier, its bunker purchases last year beat all previous records, and grew 30 percent compared to 2016 levels.
