Kidnapped crew released by pirates in Nigeria

11 seafarers kidnapped by pirates in Nigeria one month ago have now been released. The carrier ForestWave announced that the crew are in good condition given the circumstances.

The crew of a Dutch vessel which was kidnapped during a pirate attack in Nigeria one month ago has now been released.

The 11 crew members were kidnapped on April 21 when pirates attacked the vessel FWN Rapide, which is owned by Dutch carrier ForestWave. The vessel was en route from Ghana to Nigeria when it was boarded by pirates.
