Skuld boosted by fewer claims in first six months

Norwegian marine insurer Skuld delivered a bigger profit in the first six months of 2018.The improved performance is first and foremost due to fewer claims and return on investments.

Skuld's profit grew in the first half year. The Norwegian marine insurer reports a profit of USD 14 million against USD 8 million in the first six months of 2017, writes Skuld in its half-year interim report.

"The result is mainly derived from Skuld's P&I book of business and a low number of reported claims from members," Skuld writes.
