Displeased shippers will pursue bunker surcharge complaint at national level

The European shippers are not going to just accept the EU Commission's rejection of the shippers' complaint about the liner companies emergency bunker surcharges.

The shippers, and thus ultimately the companies that ship their products via the liner companies, will not just accept the EU Commission's rejection of the shippers' complaint concerning the many emergency bunker surcharges introduced by the container carriers over the summer.

In an email to ShippingWatch, European Shippers' Council (ESC) says that it has now asked its national representatives to look into the matter.
