EU chief negotiator calls for calm and focus on fragile Brexit

Negotiators last week agreed on a draft for an exit arrangement between the EU and Great Britain, which has decided to leave the union.

The teams of negotiators last week agreed on a draft for an exit deal between Great Britain and the UK, after the latter is set to leave the European Union. The parties have thus taken a key step forward, but it is not home free yet, says Michel Barnie, the EU's chief Brexit negotiator.

"We all need to remain calm – i reiterate calm – and keep our focus on ensuring that Great Britain leaves the EU in an orderly manner," says Barnie.
