Media: OOCL about to order new megaships

Hong Kong carrier OOCL, which has been taken over by China's Cosco, is poised to order six container vessels sized at 23,000 teu each, reports Lloyd's List. The vessels will be LNG-ready.

Container carrier OOCL is reportedly about to place a huge order for new megaships.

According to Lloyd's List with reference to anonymous sources, the Hong Kong carrier is eying an order for six container vessels each with 23,000 teu capacity. The vessels will also be LNG-ready, reports the media.
