Another country joins Hong Kong Convention

Malta is the latest in a series of countries ratifying the Hong Kong Convention for shipbreaking. This brings the total to 12 countries.

Regulations for safe shipbreaking has received support from another country.

Malta has just ratified the Hong Kong Convention, informs the IMO in a statement. This brings the total number to 12 countries supporting the convention, which 10 years after adopted has still not come into force.
