Efforts to salvage Thorco's wreck begin

Six crew members died in 2015 when a Thorco vessel collided with a chemical tanker and sank. Singapore authorities have now cordoned off the area so the wreck can be salvaged.


Salvage efforts begin Tuesday to raise the Thorco shipwreck that sank to the bottom of the Singapore Strait back in 2015 after it collided with a chemical tanker.

Around half of Thorco Cloud's staff died in the accident as only six out of 12 crew members were rescued.
